Just like every year, we have prepared for you a month-long competition for the best musical acts on the Museboat channel in 2023.
As most of you already know, MMA is an annual competition based not only on the high quality of music that we have the honor of playing on our broadcast,
but also on the requests of our listeners and on the feedback we received in our chatroom during the year.
The MMA program is as follows:
Start of the competition: Wednesday, November 1st
Round 1: November 8th
Round 2: November 15th
Round 3: November 22th
Round 4: November 29th
Round 5: December 6th
Voting for songs in all categories continues until December 7th 2023, Midnight London Time, so keep voting and get your favorite song to the top of our music chart.
The preliminary rounds results do not indicate the winner of any music category.
They only signal the success of specific songs among our listeners, making it easier for us to decide on winners.

message or story.

TOMMY RICE My name is Tommy Rice. After losing my wife to brain cancer I was told from my grief recovery class to write a short story in which became a song. With no experience what so ever I now have 102 recorded songs . My first song was promoted for radio play in September of 2021 . I was nominated for breakthrough artist of the year in 2021 , 2022 I won country new group of the year award then Inspirational song of the year award , had two number one songs , and in the museboat annual gala I was number 6 in top 25 out of over 30000 radio played songs in 2022. HISQ Museboat Music Awards Best Song 2022 Winner HiSQ is a Finnish collective of creative people. HiSQ is mostly about good songs created for the love of music. HiSQ founder and songwriter Erkki Vuokila gives free hands to Peter Engberg and the skillful HiSQ band in the studio. The songs get their final form there. The genre is of no importance, only that they all are satisfied with what they’ve done. All HiSQ songs have different singers picked with the utmost care. In 2021 they released five songs. Their new single with Marko Hietala published in September 2022, Flesh and Blood, earned number 1 positions in international radio charts. The year 2023 will be interesting, new material is on its way! Erkki and Bablo are in charge of the operation!

ANDY SHEARER An award winning Singer/Songwriter from Middlesbrough, Andy creates, performs and produces his own music. His main instruments are guitars, bass, piano, mandolin, dobro, Irish bouzouki and synths. He began writing songs in his mid teens as a way of expressing strong emotions associated with his new life experiences. As his musical influences widened, he slowly developed his own individual and distinct style. He says: I'm inspired when I discover new music by original and creative artists, and also good music from the past that I may have missed or not listened to for a long time. CLARK FORD MMA FINALIST Clark Ford is a songwriter from California, living a much less expensive life in the midwest USA. He has had a life-long love of music ranging from pop to rock, country, folk, jazz, blues, sacred, musical theatre, and classical music, and he has tried his hand at writing in all of those genres! His music is influenced by his favorite artists from most of the last 75+ years, although he is not that old...yet! His albums have focused on country, and pop music to date, many from musical theater shows he has written, but his current project is an album of retro jazz and blues.

GREG PARRISH Greg Parrish has considerable experience amazing audiences with his animated and powerful live performances. He has been gracing country music with live shows for over 25 years. Having grown up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Greg Parrish has enjoyed singing and performing his entire life from high school chorus, bluegrass gospel upright bassist to acoustic guitar and backing vocals in a variety band. Continually growing and adapting his music, Parrish has played in multiple groups and enjoyed much success as a rising solo artist. Most recently Greg was awarded “Male Artist of the Year” and “Entertainer or the Year” by the Carolina Country Music Association. Greg and his band performed at the Carolina Country Music Awards show at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC and also played to a full house at the CCMA pre-show party and after-party at the famous Bowery in Myrtle Beach.

ROBERT JAMES I Started an original three piece rock band in the mid seventies called "SNO " { Basement band } Members were, my brother, Ronnie James, on Drums, my friend, Danny Carpenter, musician, song writer on guitars, and myself on bass. for a short time we experimented, playing only original music, to this day we still occasionally get together and jam at Danny's home studio in Montreal. Around the early 80"s I also collaborated with another friend of mine Brian Letual , a musician, song writer and drummer, we recorded a few songs together at his home studio in Montreal.
