TAMMY MARLER
Growing up in Santa Cruz, California until 15, she learned to love artists like Bonnie Raitt, The Beach Boys, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac – and they would shape the kind of country she would eventually write. The move to Texas in the second half of her freshman year to San Antonio is where she fell in love with artists like Merle Haggard, George Strait and The Judds. Their influences would be the finishing touches that would shape Tammy into the writer she is today. Her own songwriting got started when her oldest son started taking guitar lessons. A spark was lit as she watched his talent grow. She knew all those bottled up lyrics put on a shelf as she raised 6 kids would finally come to life!
