SIMONNE DRAPER

Simonne Draper is an acoustic-classical music composer and guitarist, a member of the Czech Composers Society. After dedicating a significant part of her life to studying law, she made a decisive turn to pursue her true passion - classical and orchestral music composition. She is classically trained in Spanish guitar, started learning to play the guitar at an early age, and later studied with the renowned classical guitar composer Milan Tesař at the Conservatoire in Prague. In 2016, she became a member of the Czech Composers Society. During her music studies at the conservatoire, Simonne used to perform in collaboration with other guitarists in Prague churches and local concert halls. In 2019, her debut album, "Portraits In Guitar," was released under the record label MSR Classics in the USA. The album received positive acclaim from publications such as Fanfare, American Record Guide, or Concertonet, among others, and gained airplay on hundreds of radio stations across the globe, including BBC Radio Kent, Radio Six International, or Classic Praha FM. Music from that album has also been featured on various established radio shows such as the "Mike Rogers Show" or on "Lively Lounge with Tony Currie", among others. As an active classical guitar player, she also collaborates with awardwinning various artists who present her music at concert venues and festivals. She likes to explore other genres of music and recently collaborated with British accomplished musician Jon Kennedy, who created a remix of her composition "Eclipse" in the style of chillout and downtempo music, later submitted for 66th Grammy Awards® in the category "Best Remixed Recording." The recording later appeared on a compilation called "66th FYC" album by various artists, published by Bongo Boy Records. She continues to collaborate with Bongo Boy Records on her new music as well. Her latest composition, called "Accordiana," was released on the 12th of April 2024 and will appear on a compilation album called "Escape the Mind," which will be published in May 2024. Her new album, titled "Silence of Eclipse," will be released in June 2024.
