MAXMILIAN

Singer-Songwriter Maxmilian was born and raised in Wisconsin by his American father and German mother. Most of his life was spent in the village of Potter, but he also spent a year in Pittsburgh, PA, and time visiting his German grandparents (in the Spandau district of Berlin, Germany) and his German cousins over the years. Berlin is a very special place in his life. He has resided in Araçatuba, São Paulo State, Brazil, since 2006. Maxmilian has liked music from an early age, and says it runs in his family. His cousin, Lawrence Duchow, was a nationally well-known Polka band leader in the 1940’s and 1950’s due to his weekly radio show heard nationwide on Chicago’s WGN. Lawrence even made the cover of Billboard Magazine and the Polka Hall of Fame. Max is honored to carry on a family tradition, but his music is definitely not Polka! He will tell you that his influences are every band he has ever heard, but some much more than others and that he enjoys listening to most styles of music.
