LAYNA LAE

Layna Lae (born Marlena Trinity Georges June 27 in Boston, MA) is an American Urban Pop artist-songwriter and aspiring actress from Washington, DC. Growing up in South Florida, Layna Lae was the girl who knew every song on the radio and attributes her diverse love for music to the late Michael Jackson, Drake, 90’s R&B, Contemporary Rock and the experiences which led her to relocate to the District of Columbia after her grandmother passed away in 2012. Since Lae’s 2019 debut with her self-titled single “LAYNA LAE”— (performed at the 8th Annual Passion Over Poverty Teen Talent Showcase hosted by Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags) — Lae’s lyrics have been inspired by her personal life, including ambiguous topics on lesbian relationships and her obsession over the American muscle Hemi engine.
