MSRBL

Active since 2010, the two-man electro pop group MSRBL are releasing a new EP of four tracks. Their new EP Colours, out on 25 August, is a departure from their usual style of atmospheric pop rock. Instead of the walls of sounds and synthesizers heavily featured in MSRBL's earlier sound, on Colours more traditional instruments take center stage. As a whole, the EP has a more simplified sound to it with the arrangements at times even bringing to mind pop rock. Originally released last year, the track Wall shows off the lighter, more atmospheric side of the EP. According to the group themselves, Colours is about finding meaning, the black and white nature of thoughts and, ultimately, hope.
