MAREEKA

Growing up in the capital city Berlin, Mareeka discovered her talent for music relatively late. Early on having to fend for herself, she therefore believes that only hard work leads to success. She began her career as a dancer and singer in well-known pop girl groups and toured in 2007 until she left the band. Mareeka's heart beats for rock/pop, so she writes authentic experiences in her self-written lyrics. Her sound is energetic, epic, rhythmic and has lot of guitars in it - a good mix. She was the opening act for Richie Sambora in 2015, and performed worldwide on stage with Fools Garden, East17, and Mic Donet. Mareeka is also a welcome presence at charity events and is not an unknown entity. She wrote the promotional song "LET'S GET TOGETHER TO HELP THE WORLD" for Deutsche Lufthansa's organization "help alliance" which was released in 2020. Subsequently, she independently produced a heartfelt documentary which she also released. The documentary shows the story behind the scenes of how the song was created and how beautiful it was for the children to sing in a music studio for the first time. She was able to convince drummer Karl Brazil and bassist John Garrison (both of whom work with Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Christina Aguilera, etc.) to record the song for her.
