ENERGY WHORES
Energy Whores started in a closet of a New York City apartment. That is the only place Carrie's recording studio could fit. Now it's in a basement in Ghent, New York. Carrie Schoenfeld is the singer/songwriter and Attilio Valenti, who is originally from Sicily, Italy plays all the guitars. Carrie plays keyboards and everything else. The band name came from a song called Energy Whores Carrie wrote in 2019 about climate change. It is a political song about science deniers and corrupt corporations aligned with politicians’ hell bent on keeping us dependent on fossil fuels for their own financial gain. By the end of the song, it doesn’t end well as humanity drifts off Into oblivion.
