JW Paris is a 90’s grunge Britpop inspired three-piece featuring Gemma Clarke (formerly of Babyshambles), Danny Collins and Aaron Forde. JW Paris's new single Runaway is about how modern society and culture can seem to have some of us under a technology trance, almost like Orwell's 1984 hypnotic addiction to the way we are perceived by others. Runaway is a half social commentary about what we do for social gratification and half a hypocritical look at our own life. Previous single Electric Candle Light which came out on 25th March has been featured with nationwide radio play on Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), John Kennedy (Radio X), Frankie (Amazing Radio UK & USA) Frank Skinner (Absolutely Radio) and has made it onto the Radio X playlist for x2 weeks straight. JW Paris was featured on the ‘New In Rock’ Apple Music playlist, a single of the day’ with This Feeling and has seen over 20+ indie blogger reviews.
JW Paris has been described as sounding like ‘Joy Division’ and ‘where gritty meets swaggery’, by Chris Hawkins (6 Music) and ‘face-melting riff’s by Jack Saunders (Radio 1)
