6 TRAIN SOLDIER is a local R&B-rock band with a little soul, a little funk and a whole lot of energy. Frontman Reno Bonhomme's vocals are sometimes smooth like lager, sometimes smoky like fire, and are underlined by Hendrix-reminiscent guitars, slick basslines and dynamic grooves. Performed at places such as Sully's in Hartford for The Wimbash, The Space, The Red Door, Toads Place for Funk Fest 2013 and 2014, The Hungry Tiger, and more. Shared the stage with the musicians of Sugar Hill Gang including Doug Wimbish (also of Living Colour), Jaeme Starchild, Hearts & Thieves, Orice Jenkins.
