The Sonic Rootz were born as a family band driven by a deep and genuine love for music. The idea of recording their first album took shape in June 2020, when Diego wrote his first original song at just nine years old. That song, “Nothing to Lose”, later became part of the band’s debut album and marked the beginning of a journey rooted in passion, sacrifice and pure musical instinct. Music has always been at the center of the Sonic Rootz household. Raised on rock, soul and blues spanning from the 1950s to the present day, the three siblings grew up discovering the timeless sounds of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, alongside the energy of Bon Scott, Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale and the entire Beatles catalogue. Blues has always been the common language, with deep admiration for the great guitar storytellers: B.B. King, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters. Their debut album, “The Electric Babies Revolution”, marked a historic milestone: it officially crowned The Sonic Rootz as the youngest band ever to release a full album entirely composed of original songs.
