The Scarlet Goodbye is the creative collaboration between two established Minnesota musicians, Daniel Murphy and Jeff Arundel. Their partnership began by chance, with Murphy—known for his foundational roles in Soul Asylum and Golden Smog—crossing paths with the accomplished singer-songwriter-producer Arundel. This meeting sparked a new musical journey in an attic studio in St. Paul, Minnesota, where the duo began matching musical wits and blending these distinct perspectives.
