About
Oakdale Drive was founded in 2021 by classmates in Ayden, NC with the sole purpose of writing, performing, and recording original music. Their lineup includes August Meyer on guitar/vocals, Vincent DeGiosio on bass/vocals, Anderson Kirchoff on saxophone, and Jose Ticante on drums. The group has released 3 albums that were recorded, mixed, and mastered in their home studio and have played 50+ shows around Eastern North Carolina. One of their songs debuted alongside a short film at the All American High School Film Festival in NYC. Their primary genre is hard rock but elements of folk, bluegrass, classic rock, jazz, metal, and alternative are all intertwined into their material. Their latest album is an homage to their hometown of Ayden by naming it “The Skylight Inn”, a BBQ institution known for its whole hog pulled pork vinegar style. The group continues to record and produce their own material and have just released their debut music video directed by University of North Carolina’s School of the Arts own Evan Daniel.
