Co-based in Oak Hill, West Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia, MX THE AMERICAN has shared the stage with heavyweights like Megadeth, Motorhead, Slayer, Spiritbox, Hatebreed, The Ghost Inside, A Day To Remember, Suicidal Tendencies, Fate's Warning, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Helix, Overkill, Skillet, Testament, Sabaton, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Quiet Riot, Butt Hole Surfers, Cacophony and GWAR, building a legacy that stretches back to their formation in 1982. Fronted by Rad Ray Terrell alongside Melvin “Melly D” Davis, Richard James Dobbs, and Detlef Von Kalben, the band blends decades of experience with a no-rules approach to metal, refusing to be boxed into a single style. After a hiatus in the mid-2000s, they returned in 2018 under the name MX THE AMERICAN, releasing new music including Ten Thousand Elephants and their latest album Appalachia Voodoo Factory. Alongside their music, the band, made up in part of military veterans, actively supports depression awareness and suicide prevention. With a powerful live show, a loyal fanbase, and new material on the horizon, MX THE AMERICAN continues to push forward with purpose and intensity.
