Bob Sparks is a Christian musician and song writer. Bob playes the guitar and various other instrument. Bob's early roots in music were in Blues, R&B and Rock. As he continued in music, he started to play Jazz, Gospel and Hip Hop. As a Christian musician, Bob wants to priase and worship God with his music and reach people with the good news of the Gospel. Bob has recorded various albums and commercials for other artist and groups. His first solo album Proclamation was released in 2002. Set Apart Monks are a collections of musicians based out of St Louis, Missouri. The band consist of Vern Reynolds - sax and percussion, Jaxson Parsons - drums, Calvin Jefferson - keys, Jessica Smith Jacobson - bass and Bob Sparks - guitar and vocals. Each of the band members comes from diverse backgrounds in music. They decided to bring their talents together to create new music and deal with real life topics that people do deal with on a daily. The diversity of backgrounds help bring a unified effect in music and bring new ideas to the table in creating our own sound and style. From Vern's atmospheric sax, Jessica and Jaxson keep the groove going on the one. To Calvin's melodic keys and Bob being full of surprises, this band will give you a groove or rock it out.
