About
Al McKay is a prolific rock and folk rock songwriter, guitarist and performer from Scotland. When Al was 13 he was given a guitar for Christmas and then started writing songs at the age of 14. His musical influences include Neil Young, The Beatles and Jethro Tull. The first band AI played with was called "Deuce", who toured throughout the UK, but primarily on the West Coast of Scotland in the late 70s and early 80s. In the 2000s, focusing mainly on songwriting, Al formed a new band called "Châteaulait", which achieved great success performing Al's songs live and at festivals in Scotland. Al McKay's music is currently being released worldwide. His latest album "Ardencraig St.", featuring 15 rock songs, was recorded and produced in collaboration with the remarkable musician and music producer Harry Edgar. And on November 29, 2025, the album was officially released on the Russian-German label ACN Music (the record company ACN Multimedia Group)
